The Baku Network was founded as an independent, non-governmental organisation specialising in the strategic analysis of international events and processes that affect Azerbaijan’s security and national interests. Our primary focus is on key regions, including the post-Soviet space, Central and Eastern Europe, Asia, Africa, the Americas, Oceania, and the Middle East. The team consists of highly skilled experts with global perspectives and extensive international experience.

Mission and Objectives

Baku Network strives to become a leading platform for analytical discussions on a broad range of topics — from global processes and geopolitics to issues concerning domestic and foreign policy, security, economic development, and public strategy. Our goal is to influence strategic dialogue both within Azerbaijan and on the global stage, driven by the desire to understand the present and future global challenges.

In an increasingly volatile world, it is crucial for Azerbaijan to swiftly adapt to changes and anticipate long-term consequences. Our research focuses on complex contemporary issues such as artificial intelligence, cyber threats, and hybrid warfare. The regions surrounding the South Caucasus, such as Eastern Europe and the Middle East, remain areas of heightened tension where new patterns of conflict have emerged. Baku Network addresses these issues, as well as unresolved post-Soviet conflicts and energy security, within a wider analytical framework.

We are not confined to producing written analyses alone. We also organise video conferences, discussions, interviews, and tele-bridges, actively involving viewers and readers in public discourse. Our aim is to broaden the scope of how we share our insights, through educational and analytical videos, debates, and lectures, fostering a vibrant exchange of ideas among experts and students. We are committed to becoming a leading centre for advanced research, attracting professionals from diverse fields.

Core Principles

Baku Network is grounded in the principles of objectivity and independence in its research. Our mission is to provide an accurate representation of global events, free from bias or political inclination. We support Azerbaijan’s national interests through a balanced, fact-based approach, ensuring that our analyses are informed, impartial, and rooted in independent thought.
